GPRS Boat

This was an attempt to build a remotely operated robot boat. It was planned to have a STM32 processor, GPRS link, GPS and solar panels, in a body about 50 cm long.

Fiberglass boat hull

Fiberglass is the de-facto material for real boats; I thought it would work equally well for miniature boats. Paper Wings tells honestly how easy it is to work with.

Libraries for microcontroller software

I originally intended to have the boat in water by June.. well, didn't happen. The software has been taking a lot more time than I estimated, mostly because of NIH-syndrome.

Afterthoughts of the boat project

I never ended up completing the boat project, atleast not in the planned form. However, it did teach me a lot of new techniques and some of the software also lives on.
