Comments for “LED wakeup light”

Glad to have found your page here. :) I'm researching making a very similar thing, so thanks for the info.

My current plan is to use an Arduino as a controller, as I've used one before successfully (and I've never made a custom PCB). I'm going to install a cornice around all four walls (e.g. http://oracdecor.com/en/c362---curve) and a timer switch on the wall (http://www.amazon.co.uk/DIGITAL-IMMERSION-HEATER-TIMER-LG-DIHT/dp/B0066NEBO6) to make the timer operation easy to change and allow manual on/off as well. Last thing — an extra switch to choose between "sunrise takes 30 minutes" and "sunrise takes 5 seconds", so we can manually turn on these lights on if necessary.

Haven't bought components yet, and there will no doubt be changes as I test different things and discover they don't work as planned. If there's anything obvious that sticks out to you already, feel free to make better suggestions! Thanks in advance.

great work on producing the sunrise. I was just wondering what type of RGB LEDs you used?. or does it not matter that much?. thanks
